"Wild Ones" an uptempo dance pop single by Flo Rida and Sia scorched the Billboard charts during the first half of 2012.The song became so popular it was chosen by WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) as a theme song for it's showcase event Wrestle Mania 28.
Even though Flo Rida was instrumental in "Wild Ones" phenomenal success, little known Sia made a huge impact with "Wild Ones", as she would go on to establish herself as a top-quality musician who would create hits after hits in the years to follow.
While Flo Rida would struggle for a hit and is yet to find one on par with "Wild Ones" apart from one other track "Whistle".The music video was all Flo Rida partying off with wild bikini girls at exotic beach locations around the world.
Sia..unfortunately was not included in the video, while some criticized Flo Rida for excluding Sia from "Wild Ones", rumor has it that Flo Rida wanted Sia to be one of his exotic bikini girls in the video, which Sia allegedly refused.
This highly talented Australian singer from Adelaide, who rose to stardom with "Titanium" featuring David Guetta, never looked back since the release of "Titanium" in 2011.Unlike many pop divas of 2010's decade who are often scantily dressed in music videos, live concerts or red carpet events, Sia never used her flesh to make an impact in the music industry but used her God given voice and ballet dancing to make a name for herself in a flesh-craving industry.
But "Wild Ones" was Flo Rida's song of a lifetime and he made the most of it, when he made a live performance at WWE's Wrestle Mania 28, before the prime-time event..the much awaited match between The Rock Dwayne Johnson and John Cena.
Many popular DJ's such as DJ Earworm, Daniel Kim created a year-end remix in 2012 with "Wild Ones" as the base track and have earned themselves millions of views and thousands of subscribers on YouTube.
The single sold more than 12 million copies across the globe, with 40% of the sales or 5.4 million units coming from Denmark, the single was certified 5 times platinum in Denmark and has since become the best selling song in Danish history.
"Wild Ones" sold 3.6 million copies in the U.S, while 700,000 copies were sold in the U.K. In spite of it's huge success, it was denied top honors in the famed Billboard Hot 100 charts, where it could not climb beyond the 5th position.
