Jackie Gleason - Music For Lovers Only(#ad)
“Little Girl” comes from Jackie Gleason 1953 Album Music For Lovers Only which sold over 500,000 copies but it's first release was recorded in 1952 as a 10”LP.
At the time, the Album had 8 songs only that did not include “Little Girl”.
In 1953, the album aired with was released as an expanded 12” with eight more tracks added that made it more popular.
As an American actor, comedian, writer, composer, and conductor, Jackie added a little humor to his tracks and used all his knowledge as a composer to write beautiful lyrics.
“Little Girl” is one of the highly emotional tracks America has ever encountered.
To many, it’s a message to a long lost daughter, wife or spouse while to others;it’s an interesting and inspiring music.
Upon it's release, the song attracted many fans and comforted a lot more, however, the more the track played at the time, the more popular it became and the more it promoted the album.
On June 24, 1987, Jackie passed away at the age of 71 and cancer took him away from his family and the world.
As an actor and a comedian, the artist was always performing but when he wasn’t; he was busy composing or conducting beautiful and romantic music.
Having recorded over 35 albums with the Jackie Gleason Orchestra he was known for his huge appetite and his drive to be glamorous led to CBS building him a circular mansion at Peekskill in New York.
He had a big heart even though he craved affection and attention but that did not compare with his desire to live his life to the fullest.
Honestly, Jackie is among the few who fulfilled most of their hearts desires.
Though he scored a position with Warner Bros Production, it was one of his most challenging and disappointing contracts.

You're the end of the rainbow, my pot of gold
You're daddy's little girl to have and to hold
A precious gem is what you are
You're mommy's bright and shining star
You're the spirit of Christmas, my star on the tree
You're the Easter Bunny to mommy and me
You're sugar, you're spice, you're everything nice
And you're daddy's little girl
You're the treasure I cherish, so sparkling and bright
You were touched by the holy and beautiful light
Like angels that sing, a heavenly thing
And you're daddy's little girl
