The story begins from the point after Dobby's burial. Harry Potter continues on his mission to find Horcrux.
He seeks help from goblin Griphook while his friends Ron and Hermione enter Bellatrix Lestrange's vault at Gringotts bank, trying to find Horcrux.
The Bellatrix's vault makes a revelation to Harry as he discovers the Horcrux is Helga Hufflepuff's cup.
He is able to retrieve it. Harry sees a vision of killing Griphook and that Voldemort has knowledge of the theft.
More skeletons come out of Voldemort’s closet when Harry speaks to Helena Ravenclaw's ghost.
Ron and Hermione demolish the Horcrux cup in the Chamber of Secrets.
Harry reads Voldemort's mind and comes to know that Voldemort's snake Nagini is the final Horcrux.
In the boathouse, Harry and his friends watch Voldemort falsely telling Snape that he’ll be an impediment in Elder Wand being able to serve Voldemort, so it is better he dies.
Thereafter Voldemort asks Nagini to kill Snape and Snape gets killed.
Back in Hogwarts, Fred, Lupin, and Tonks have been killed.Harry realizes, from Snape’s memories, about his love for his late mother, but didn’t get along with his father, James, who often bullied him.
This love for Harry’s mother was the reason why Snape was secretly protective about Harry and wanted to protect Harry from Voldemort.
Harry also comes to know the fact that Dumbledore wanted Snape to kill him. Harry later surrenders himself to Voldemort in the woods, once he came to know that he’d become a Horcrux.
The illusions get cleared with Dumbledore's spirit telling Harry that the part of Voldemort within Harry was killed automatically by Voldemort's own curse.
Harry then retreats back to his body, even more determined to defeat Voldemort .
At Hogwarts, Voldemort and Harry get into a one-on-one fight that eventually ends in Voldemort’s curses rebounding and killing him.
Fast forward to nineteen years later into the next generation, Harry and his friends watch their children leave for Hogwarts.
