God's Plan - Drake
The music video for "God's Plan" which was released on 16th February 2018 on YouTube, was indeed a very unique one, as Drake was seen donating legit $100 bills to the poor Afro-American community from the downtown Miami city.
The video starts with a note from the production team ... "The Budget for this video was $996,631.90" "We Gave It All Away" "Don't Tell the Label..."
Never before in a music video was so much cash was given at random to the common man, well Drake did it and it has truly paid off.
Even after 4 months, the song is topping the Billboard Hot 100 charts as on June 9th 2018.
"God's Plan" (released from the album Scary Hours) is infact the biggest hit of 2018, topping the Hot 100 charts for 18 weeks to date, also breaking Spotify's single day streaming record as well as Apple Music's opening day streaming record.
The music video has played a very important role in the success of "God's Plan", as it brings tears of joy and happiness to anyone who watches it.
Unlike "Hotline Bling" music video, there are no bikini clad women or super expensive production sets, but the hard working residents of downtown Miami trying to eke out a living.
"God's Plan" has already sold 8 million copies in the U.S (to date) and 3.5 million copies around the world.
With more than 615 million views on YouTube (to date), one should not be surprised if the song goes on to become, one of the biggest hits of all time!
