Fortunately for Katy, Sara Bareille came to Katy's rescue, defending the pop icon..letting the world know that she never had any issues with "Roar" sounding like "Brave" and no one has any right to bother Katy Perry with "Brave" as long as she is fine with it.
While the dust was still settling down with Roar's controversial tune, Katy's critics didn't spare the music video for "Roar" calling it too similar to Disney's Jungle Book accusing Perry of stealing Jungle Book's theme for Roar's music video.
As fortunate as always.. Disney refused to drag themselves into the controversy as Roar's sales roared..jumping to the second spot in the Billboard Hot 100 charts from 82nd place,held back by Robin Thickie's "Blurred Lines" ...two weeks later "Roar" replaced "Blurred Lines", ruled the Billboard Hot 100 charts for two weeks before Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" wrecked havoc in the Hot 100 charts.
