This Christmas carol was written by John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie. Bruce Springsteen released the song in 2015 from his album 1980-12-31: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, NY, USA.

The latest version comes from Laura Pausini on her album Laura Xmas (2016).
Bruce’s version has over 1.5 million YouTube views and he has performed at Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, NC, on December 8, 2002.
HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY on November 22, 2009, and surprised the New Jersey folks with an outstanding performance on April 23, 2017.
According to his friend Dave Marsh, Bruce felt suicidal while recording 1982 album and even though he succumbed to drugs and alcohol, he has been in therapy for 30 years.
The 10-month lawsuit in 1976 almost drained his career while fighting with his manager and publisher Mike Appel but all things considered, he came out a winner.
