Karmin is the project of singers Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan.
Amy grew up in a small Nebraska town and discovered her voice in sixth grade, Nick an award-winning trombone player and avid classic rock fan grew up in Maine.
This American pop duo known for their amazing cover of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass", had the record executives so impressed they ended up signing them to their record label, Epic Records.
Once they signed up with Epic Records, Karmin released their first LP Hello.
The title track "Hello" along with "Brokenhearted" were massive hits in the U.S around June 2012.
While many critics compared Karmin's "Brokenhearted" to Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" and watchmojo.com called it one of the most stupid songs of the decade.
They did reach the 16th spot in the Billboard Hot 100 U.S charts, selling more than a million copies on it's way to the top 20.
It was a huge hit in Europe, like most Bubblegum pop numbers, sold a million copies in Europe apart from being certified Platinum in New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
