Unfortunately "Ain’t Your Mama" was not able to replicate the success of "On The Floor",which never gained any traction in the Billboard Hot 100 charts..fading away after a 92 spot debut on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
The song did pick up on Spotify with more than 1.8 million streams within a month of it's release and still is J Lo's only song to have gained her more revenue from streaming than from iTunes sales.
U.S iTunes sales were disappointing for "Ain’t Your Mama" but that didn't stop the song from being a chart buster in many European countries.
The song reached the top 10 chart position in Poland, Israel, Hungary, Lebanon, Slovakia, Spain, Greece, Finland, Czech Republic, Argentina, Germany and Venezuela.
With a highly engrossing music video where J Lo depicts women through the ages, from the 1950s to the present day, was received well by her fans.
The music video starts as Lopez,an anchor talking with someone over the phone on how women are being over looked and under appreciated at the work place. It then moves on to other women and their reaction.
Jennifer Lopez plays many roles in the music video, as a 50s housewife,60s secretary, 70s worker and a 80s businesswomen.
J Lo along with other women rebel against the men who exploit them, most importantly their husbands and bosses.
The music video ends with an all women march in New York.With more than 380 million views on YouTube, "Ain’t Your Mama" is J Lo's tribute to the woman kind and her biggest hit since 2011.
The song sold more than 200,000 copies in Germany, gaining a Gold certification.It also spent 17 weeks in the top 10 on the charts in Spain, peaking at the 4th spot ,was awarded double platinum in Spain.
In France and Finland, the song peaked at 11th and 6th positions respectively.And was given a Gold certification in France.
