The Walking Dead - 6 Seasons (2016)(#ad)
Based on a comic book series by Rob Kirkman, The Walking Dead is an episodic TV show produced by AMC. It is all about the apocalypse caused by the rise of corpses. Anyone who is bitten by these "walking dead corpses" is also turned into one of them as well. While that is a textbook zombie scenario, The Walking Dead is unique in that it never calls the corpses, Zombies.
Instead, they are called by other names. Search for watch movies online and you will probably see that The Walking Dead is one of the top shows that is being watched. But is it worth your time?
Review of the whole Series:
Since The Walking Dead is a very long-running series, it can be difficult to know which season or series of episodes is worth watching.
In this review, all of the events of previous seasons will be examined, so that you can decide which season you would like to watch. Overall, though The Walking Dead is an excellent piece of television drama that more people should watch.
Season 1 Beginning:
The deputy sheriff of the fictional King County, Rick Grimes, is seriously injured in the operation and falls then into a week-long coma. When he wakes up, he finds himself in a deserted, devastated hospital scattered in the surrounding area, countless corpses lie.
With horror, Rick notes that some of them despite severe mutilations and long-established decay still seem to live. Rick runs through to his house, but his wife Lori and pre-teen son Carl lacks any trace.
On the street in front of his house, Rick is found by two survivors, Morgan and his son Duane, and taken to their hiding place. They learn from Rick that the city was overrun by blood thirsty zombies some time ago and that people who could not save themselves in time were killed and themselves became zombies. The cause is a disease that infects humans.
Season 2 Review:
After their flight from Atlanta, the survivors decide to go to Fort Benning. They stay on the highway blocked by car wrecks. While the group is searching the vehicles and the surrounding area for water, food and other useful things, they are surprised by a bite-heart. Many of the survivors can hide underneath vehicles.
When the danger seems to be banned, the completely frightened Sophia is discovered by two un-dead in her hiding place, flees in front of them in the adjoining forest and disappears then without a trace. In a search for her Carl is inadvertently by the hunter Otis shot and seriously injured. Hershel Greene, on whose farm Otis lives with some other surviving humans, has as a veterinarian about very good medical knowledge and tries to save the life of the boy.
Season 3 Overview:
The plot of the third season begins several months after the escape from the farm. At this point, Lori is already pregnant and the group is increasingly in need of finding a permanent, safe place for themselves and the soon-to-be offspring.
They pass a prison, which is populated by some walking corpses but is largely undamaged in it's function, and sees in it their chance of a safe refuge.
When the prison was cleared, Hershel was bitten by a biter, and Rick immediately amputated the affected lower leg, so as to prevent Hershel's transformation into a bite. In addition, the group finds some surviving prisoners, which soon lead to fatal conflicts.
What Happened in Season 4:
At the beginning of the fourth season, Rick's is tired of leading the group. He has given the leadership of the group to a council of survivors and is concerned mainly with the fields and pigs of the Community as well as with the animal farms in the area.
When the deadly flu breaks out in the prison, Rick reaches for his weapon again and orders a quarantine of the victims. Meanwhile, the audience learns that the Governor is now on his own after his retreat from Woodbury. He finds, however, a connection to another group of survivors, whose leadership he once again by intrigue and murder guaranteed.
He tells them about the prison and convinces them of his takeover. In order to drive Rick out of jail, he again arrives at the prison fence with a heavily armed group and extorts him with the captured Hershel and Michonne. The fourth season is widely considered to be one of the best in The Walking Dead, so you should watch it on Amazon Prime Video if you do find it.
