Summary of Spider Man 2
For two years Peter Parker has been spending his time between his college schooling and his spare time fighting the evildoers as Spider-Man.
Mary Jane Watson is soon to marry Jameson's son (the editor of the local newspaper) and Harry Osborn is still seeking revenge for the Spider-man because he holds him responsible for the death of his father, Norman Osborn. Peter arrives late at almost all of his classes, struggling to earn a few dollars to pay his rent and fails to regain a balance of life.
As part of a project funded by Oscorp, Harry invites Peter to meet with Dr. Otto Octavius, who, convinced that he has discovered a source of energy as powerful as the Sun, Has developed intelligent mechanical arms that allow remote manipulation of the fusion.
A few days later, Octavius presented his invention to several people, including Peter and Harry. The experiment goes wrong and Rosie, the wife of Octavius, dies while the latter receives an electric shock and loses consciousness.
Spider-Man manages to stop the catastrophe, saves the life of Harry but it is ruined following the failure of Octavius.
He starts drinking and elaborates a plan to take revenge on Spider-Man, who, according to him, humiliated him by saving him.
While Octavius must be operated on to remove his mechanical arms, he involuntarily kills the surgeons and escapes from the hospital.
Now mentally controlled by the arms, lost and realizing that his powers are disappearing, Peter decides to stop being Spider-Man and throws his costume in a garbage can (it will be recovered a few days later by Jameson of the local newspaper).
From then on, Peter becomes a studious pupil and manages to find a correct balance of life. He also feels the need to confess to his Aunt May that it is his fault that Uncle Ben is dead, and tells what happened exactly on the night of the murder.
Later, she will congratulate her nephew for admitting the truth. Meanwhile, Octavius and Harry make a contract, one wanting material, the other the head of Spider-Man.
While Mary Jane invites Peter to have a drink to talk to her about her relationship, she is abducted by Dr. Octopus, who wants to get her hands on Spider-Man.
Realizing the sudden return of his powers, Peter retrieves his costume from Jameson and saves MJ. A fight against Octopus engages on a train, but this one finally escapes and lets Peter stop the train that has packed.
As he lost his mask, several passengers discover his secret identity but vow to not talk to anyone. Octopus comes back abruptly, knocks Spider-Man out, and takes him to Harry.
The latter removes the mask of Spider-Man and discovers with amazement that it is Peter. After a brief discussion, Peter goes to the warehouse of Octopus, confronts the latter and saves MJ; She discovers in turn that Peter is Spider-Man.
Octopus dies after destroying his installation, reasoned by Peter. The latter confesses to Mary Jane his feelings but tells him that they can never be together because the role of Peter's partner will always pass before her.
The next day, Mary Jane had to get married but eventually hands over to her suitor a mysterious paper. She goes to Peter and tells her that she is ready to accept her role as a judge, that she loves him and that it is now his turn to watch over him.
Peter and MJ finally kiss. A police siren then rang out; Peter puts on his outfit and will stop any crime. Meanwhile, Harry is at home and has hallucinations from his late father telling him to take revenge.
Taken madly, Harry throws the dagger he held in the mirror of his living room, uncovering his father's hidden lab and that he was the Green Goblin.
