Launched in 2011 to take on streaming giants Spotify and Apple Music, Play Music fizzled out like a soft drink filled with laughing gas.

But still, many avid music lovers downloaded the GPM app, because of the brand name ‘Google’ associated with it.

Soon they found out, the free version is more of a joke, when compared with Spotify or Apple Music.

Apart from a few radio stations, there are no free songs in Play Music’s free version and you have to upload your personal music library from your PC, tablet or smartphone.

Given below are the steps to claim a refund for Google Play Music’s premium version…

• In your web browser open https://play.google.com/store/account enter your account details if requested to.

• Search for your order history and find the order you want to return, and if you don’t find the order listed among the others in your purchase history, it means you bought it using another account. Switch to the account and proceed.

• On the right side of the order, there are three dots, a symbol for more. Click on the three dots to reveal a series of options.

• Select report a problem and go ahead to pick an option that matches your situation. If it’s not there, go for the one closely related.

• Note that you would like a refund and complete the form

• A message will appear on screen “thank you for your concerns,” then wait to get an email withan approval. It will only take 15 minutes, but it can also take up to two days of business.
