The single sold more than 12 million copies across the globe, with 40% of the sales or 5.4 million units coming from Denmark, the single was certified 5 times platinum in Denmark and has since become the best selling song in Danish history.
"Wild Ones" sold 3.6 million copies in the U.S, while 700,000 copies were sold in the U.K. In spite of it's huge success, it was denied top honors in the famed Billboard Hot 100 charts, where it could not climb beyond the 5th position.
