After scoring a top ten position on the US Billboard Hot 100, it's accompanying video saved the group a nomination for the best R&B performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the 1989 31st Grammy Awards.
The song revolves around a dilemma forged when a man is caught between an ex-lover and the current one.
With over 50 million YouTube views, "If It Isn’t Love" records a live performance on July 20, 2014, in Washington DC during their All 6 Tour, at the Nokia LA live concert in Los Angeles and at the Super Model of the World Pageant in 1988 among others.
By August 1988, the track had sold over 500,000 copies in the US only which was made possible by the positive reception the song received.
The members of New Edition include Ralph Tresvant,Ricky Bell, Ronnie DeVoe, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown and Johnny Gill.
The group has attracted the media through uncovered secrets, drug scandals, and family feuds. Bobby was a husband to the legend icon Whitney Huston who died of substance abuse.
