The Notorious B.I.G. - Mo Money Mo Problems(#ad)

“Mo money mo problems” is a hip hop/rap track by the Notorious B.I.G featuring Sean Combs and Mase from the album Life after Death.

Released after the rapper’s death, the track topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1997 for two weeks.

It was later nominated for the 1998 Grammy Award for the best rap performance by a duo or group. As one of the most popular hip hop singles, the song instrumentals possess a bit of the low pitched version of “I’m coming out’ by Diana Ross.

After Christopher Wallace died, the song became number one on the Billboard list while the UK charts placed it at number six.

The video featured Mase and Puffy while images of Kelly Price lip-syncing to the sample of Diana Ross’ voice.

Since the Notorious B.I.G had already passed on, archival footage syncing with his vocals was shown as the only way for him to appear in the video.

It’s one of the greatest songs ever recorded in the 90’s with their wardrobe gaining more attention since it was flashy.

Over 5000 copies were sold even after the track was succeeded by Puff Daddy and later Mariah Carey’s track “honey” the track continues to be remembered by famous rappers or being featured on movies and series.

Jay-Z and Ludacris refer this track on some of their single hits, in the series how I met your mother, a reference to the song is made by Barney in a dream.

While Linkin Park refers to the song on their track “when they come for me” a remake of “mo money mo problems” was done by Irv Gotti, a music producer, featuring the famous Keysha Cole and Iggy Azalea for the film the other woman.

It was the entrance song for the mixed martial artist Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight, also known as The Money Fight , The Biggest Fight in Combat Sports History, held in the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, on August 26, 2017 with Mayweather earning more than $300 million, whereas lucky loser McGregor earned more than $100 million.
