Product Description
Whitney Houston - One Wish / The Holiday Album(#ad)

She was the world’s greatest singer before her death. Her tracks were inspiring, beautiful and her voice was pure talent and angelic.

Whitney Houston released "Joy to the World" in 1996 from her album The Preachers Wife. The Christmas carol came from the 18th century English Hymn Writer Isaac Watts and the lyric is based on the bible.

It was originally written to celebrate the second coming of Jesus but the world celebrates the words on Christmas, the day Jesus was supposedly born.

During the season, the track hits the stereos in several versions but Whitney’s music plays with a choir in the background.

With over 1.8 million views on YouTube, she performed live at the 50th Anniversary of Ebony Magazine. The track carries a message of joy and love but Whitney is not the only artists to perform this carol.

The album The Preachers Wife has sold over nine million copies in the US only and Joy to the World has made sales up to over 500,000 copies.

Despite her drug problems, Whitney never lost her charm and her voice remained as beautiful as ever. She was rumored to do drugs with her daughter Bobbi Kristina who tried to stab her.

On the day she passed away, February 11, 2012, Houston was expected at the Annual Clive Davis pre-Grammy Party.

Three years later, Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in a bathtub at a town house she inherited from Whitney and six months later, she passed away at the age of 22.

The artist’s family may have suffered a double tragedy in less than a decade but Houston’s legacy still shines brightly.

Joy to the World indeed has touched many hearts and Whitney helped pass the message across the world through her angelic voice. Her talent will forever be emulated for years to come.
