What happened in the film? A summary of Resident Evil: Extinction
After the events of Resident Evil: Apocalypse and the Raccoon City accident, Alice wanders in the Nevada desert in search of survivors. The latter is almost non-existent, the world being invaded by the T virus.
In the meantime, a convoy of survivors, not far from Alice, travels the desert with Claire Redfield, Carlos Olivera, LJ, K-Mart, Betty, Mikey, and Chase.
While in an underground Umbrella base Dr. Isaac tries to create a T-virus vaccine, Alice discovers a notebook saying that an Alaskan city, Arcadia, is not affected by the virus. The convoy wants to camp near a motel but inside, a zombie bites LJ, the latter not informing his comrades.
The next day, K-mart wakes up and informs the entire convoy that a horde of zombie crows has come during the night and watches. The convoy tries to leave but the zombie crows to attack and Betty and Otto, the driver of the bus, are killed before Alice disembarks and destroys the horde of crows.
Alice informs the convoy that Arcadia would be a chance for them to leave. The convoy opts for Alaska. Without fuel, they decided to go to Las Vegas to find gasoline.
At the base of Umbrella, Dr. Isaac plans to capture Alice, whose blood would be the antidote to the virus. With a huge metal box filled with zombies involved, two helicopters leave for Vegas where the zombies ravage the convoy: Mickey and Chase are killed, LJ ends up transforming into a zombie, tries to attack K-Mart and finally bites Carlos.
Dr. Isaac is about to flee after the last convoy's victory but is bitten and at the base, after injecting massive doses of anti-virus, he becomes a Tyrant, a zombie that is extremely strong.
The rest of the convoy is in sight of the base of Umbrella and wants to escape with a helicopter but a crowd of zombies surrounds the fence protecting the base.
Carlos, knowing that he will soon transform himself, chooses to blow up the truck of the convoy with himself inside to eliminate as many zombies as possible. Claire, K-mart and the other survivors leave by helicopter, but Alice chooses to enter the base and bids them farewell.
In the database of the Umbrella facility, Alice sees the multitude of clones that had been created to replace her. She then encounters the artificial intelligence of Umbrella, the White Queen, who, opposite the Red Queen, wants to help Alice.
Alice fights with the Tyrant and finally, one of the clones activates laser rays that cut the Tyrant into pieces. The film ends with Alice announcing to Umbrella CEO Albert Wesker that she is going to her HQ to attack them, with her clones.
