Amy was also the central figure in Hello's music video, as she is seen cycling through the busy streets of China Town plaza,Los Angeles....rapping the lines from "Hello" in the twilight of China Town plaza.
Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan formed the Karmin. The duo is a real-life couple and confirmed to the world that they had tied knot in early 2016 after being together since 2005.
Amy and Nick met while attending Berklee College of Music, Boston. The two graduated in 2008.
The couple first garnered attention when they started posting cover videos of popular artists on YouTube. These videos were appreciated by viewers as well as singers whom they covered.
However, their popularity surged after they debuted on Saturday Night Live, just as Whitney Houston’s dead was being broadcasted.
They also gained a lot of respect being on Good Morning America as Colorado shooting was making headlines. The duo’s positive attitude won them a lot of accolades.
Released as a Digital Download only format , the single was downloaded more than 20,000 times in it's first week on iTunes and Amazon, but never got any further than the 62nd spot in the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
The song "Hello" is penned by Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan along with Claude Kelly, and Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer, both of the Stargate.
Many of you may already know that Stargate has the distinction writing hit songs like What’s My Name sung by Rihanna and Firework sung by Katy Perry.
According to critics and reviewers, Hello’s music is similar to Rihanna’s What’s My Name, but still manages to come into its own due to Karmin’s special touch.
Maybe it is the rap by Amy that has transformed the song.
Also, the chorus of the song is quite similar to Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit and Lady Gaga’s Just Dance. Nonetheless, it has won praise and approval from Karmin fans, who pushed it up the dance charts.
Amy states that "Hello", the single, is an autobiographical song about the duo’s journey from being nobodies to stardom.
The song beautifully narrates how Amy’s journey started in Nebraska and the way she met Nick in Boston. According to Amy, the song is an introduction to Karmin to let the fans know the duo has arrived.
