Jess Glynne sings the vocals on the song. It was released to the public on June 21, 2015, in the hopes of creating a vibe surrounding his then-upcoming third album I Cry When I Laugh.
The song entered the UK single Chart and was listed among the top songs on the chart giving Tempah his six UK chart-topper and Glynne her fourth.
Before the song was released, it had taken Tinie Tempah a couple of years since he dropped his sophomore effort “Demonstrations.’ Tinie made a triumphant return with "Not Letting Go" track.
The track is insanely catchy. The track features a chorus from English pop powerhouse Jess Glynne and Tinie solidifies the whole track with his verses.
According to Tinie, the song was inspired by summer love in his London hometown. Both the singers being Londoners, Tinie wanted to son to capture the London summertime feelings which were the best time of the year for the singers.
This was the time the rapper had most romantic experiences and wanted the track to capture those moments.
Tinie officially released the song to the public on June 21, 2015. "Not Letting Go" was the first song to emerge from the English rapper.
The two, Tinie Tempah and Jess Glynne met at the Brits in 2014 before producing the song in 2015. According to Tinie, he has been a fan of Jess since he heard her “Home” track.
The track has 39,369,500 views on YouTube. The song finished as the 36th best-selling song in the United Kingdom in 2015.
The music video was directed by Joe Alexander and Charlie Robins and was shot in south London’s Brockwell Park, Brixton.
