"Bad and Boujee" is a Hip Hop song by Migos an American Hip Hop group. Migos is a hip-hop trio that was formed back in 2009 and they are from Lawrenceville Georgia.
The group is made up of three rappers Quavo, Takeoff and Offset which are their stage names. The trio released their debut single Versace in 2013, and it was taken from their mixtape Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas).
The song "Bad and Boujee" was released as the lead single for their second studio album Culture and it was released on October 28, 2016.
It was released by Atlantic Records, 300 Entertainment and Quality Control Entertainment. The song was produced by Metro Boomin and G Koop, and it features vocals from American rapper Lil Uzi Vert.
Late in December 2016, the song "Bad and Boujee" became an internet sensation where it got a large number of memes with the lyrics “raindrop, drop top ”.
What made the song as famous as it is right now are these combined with a shout out by Donald Glover at the 2017 Golden Globes, and this made the song improve it's commercial performance.
The song spiked into top ten at the US Billboard Hot 100 and later topped the chart for the week of January 21, 2017. This was the first number one song for Migos and Lil Uzi Vert.
"Bad and Boujee" received positive reviews from music critics with complex placing it at number 24 on The 50 Best Songs of 2016, saying “the track is confident and lurching.The kind of song that has it's own appeal and knows not to step outside of the pocket”.
The song had sold 4 million units in the United States as of 20 June 2017, gaining it's 4 times platinum certification. The music video now has more than 535 million views on YouTube.
