Fast Five (Extended Version) 2011(#ad)
Fast Five released May 5th 2011 is an action thriller part of the popular action film series Fast & Furious.
The movie, similar to others in the series, revolves around guys who are into street racing and heist.
It has had four Fast and the Furious movies before its release, namely "The Fast and the Furious (2001)", "2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)", "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)", "Fast and Furious (2009)", but truly stands apart from the rest of Fast and the Furious flicks.
Fast Five directed by Justin Lin and written by Chris Morgan made a whopping $626.1 million at the box office, nearly five times the money that was used to make the blockbuster.
The cast of the movie includes Dominic "Dom" Toretto, the protagonist (Vin Diesel), Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster).
Dominic's gang plan a robbery to loot $100 million from Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida), the most powerful man in Rio while being pursued by U.S. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson).
Fast Five is a stepping stone in the series, as it shows only one car race, while the previous ones revolved much on street racing.
This one had lot more focus on action with gun fights, such as gun fights, scuffles and the $100 million heist.
The plot goes like this…
Dom gets rescued, on his way to prison, by his sister Mia Toretto and friend Brian O'Conner. The three of them then decide to hide at Rio.
That's where their friend Vince and his gang are waiting for them to execute a daring three car heist from a train.
Interestingly, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents are also traveling on the same train as the said cars are seized property.
While stealing the cars Dom & Brian get caught by Hernan Reyes, the owner of the cars and three DEA agents were shot dead by Reyes’s henchmen but Dom and Brian get the blame for DEA agents’ murders.
Vince has some plans to sell a chip back to Reyes. The chip is a computer chip on the car.
Dom pushes Vince to leave, while Brian unravels big secrets hidden in the chip - an entire criminal account of Reyes, also containing information on locations of US$100 million cash.
More turn of events take place. Now enters the Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs into the scene, ready to nab Dom Brian and Mia.
But he finds no success, rather gathers evidence of Dom's safe house been attacked by Reyes’s men.
Brian, Dom and Mia escape again. Mia announces her pregnancy with Brian's baby.
Dom decides to be with them and suggests stealing money from Reyes.
The heist is organized with a few more boys as Vince also joins Hobbs and his team eventually finds and arrests Dom, Mia, Brian, and Vince.
The drama doesn't end with Hobbs team taking the Dom, Mia, Brian, and Vince for extradition to the US.
They, this time all of them get attacked by Reyes's men, who end up killing Hobbs' team.
Hobbs and Elena get rescued by Dom, Brian, Mia, and Vince but Vince gets shot and dies.
Hobbs decides to be on Dom's side and help him with the heist. The robbery takes place, money is taken and more action with police chase follows as Brian kills Zizi.
Hobbs kills Reyes and lets Dom and Brian free, on a condition that they leave the $100 million vault as it is.
However, the vault has nothing as it got replaced in the chase.
The looters Brian, Dom and Mia go their separate ways after splitting the cash, even Vince's share is given to his family.
