When interrogating Musgrave, Hunt finds out that the Rabbit’s foot is in Shanghai, China, where he travels and successfully acquires it.
He tried to bring it to Davian but he believed it was fake, so he shoots Julia and leaves. Musgrave later reveals that he was the mole who arranged for Davian to acquire the precious Rabbit’s Foot and then sell it to a terrorist group.
Once Musgrave lets his guard down, Hunt manages to knock him unconscious and frees himself. He tracks Julia and encounters Davian who tries to trigger the micro-explosive in the Hunt’s head.
