Critics were also pleased with the innovative promotion for the single when a pixelated image of "Focus" cover was gradually de-pixelated over a period of a month after her announcement of the new single "Focus" in The Tonight Show during the last week of September 2015.
As of November 4th 2015 Ariana Grande's "Focus" has jumped several spots to the 2nd position in the iTunes store's singles chart below the chart topper Adele's "Hello", perhaps a months delay of release would have seen "Focus" rocket to the top of the charts.
Only time will tell if "Focus" would over take Adele's "Hello" before Christmas 2015.
