In the US, "Superwoman" hit Top Ten and it's popularity attracted a remake from Gladys Knight, while Gary Chaw made a Mandarin Cover version for her 2006 album Blue.
Jacyln Victor covered "Superwoman" in her second album, Inilah Jac and Heather Headley featured in it.
The song talks about relationship from a Woman’s perspective, which Karyn related to her Mother’s relationship experiences.
In one of the interviews, Karyn said she was around 21 years old, when she recorded the music and she wasn’t the type of Woman in the lyrics at That time.
She was Live at the Apollo theater in 1988, while on May 14th, 2014, the same artist...Karyn performed live in London.
"Superwoman" received two nominations which included, The Grammy Award... for Best R&B Song and Soul Train Music Award for Best RnB/Soul Single-Female.

After "Superwoman", Karyn made a comeback in 2012 for another album... after getting a divorce and a not so successful career in Real Estate.
During The Soul Train Awards, Karyn was not allowed to perform her own song at Babyface’s tribute.
She was not happy about Bet’s lack of invitation and even though Fantasia staged an amazing performance, Karyn deserved the chance.
Her fans, family, and friends had a difficult time understanding why she wasn’t present at the show. Her career as a musician has not been a fluent one but she always came through for her fans.
