"Everywhere" is a track recorded from 1985 to 1988 by Fleetwood Mac,the rock band.. for their studio album Tango in the Night.
Through the Warner Bros Records, the band officially released the track on November 28, 1987.
It was written by Christine Macvie and produced by Lindsey Buckingham and Richard Dashut.
In the United States, the music hit number 14 while upon being released in the UK on 21 March 1988, "Everywhere" reached number four.
It's music video is based on the poem Highwayman by Alfred Noyes, but there are two versions; one video features the band throughout and the other doesn’t.
In 2013, the track was used as an ad to promote mobile phones in the UK which led to it's come back on the UK Singles Chart in position 15.
Band member Christine McVie contributes as a synthesizer, lead and back vocalist. John McVie plays the bass guitar while Mick Fleetwood drums.
Both Stevie Nicks and Lindsey provide back vocals but the latter plays guitar as well.
Since 1996 when the first cover version of the song was done by Chaka Khan, "Everywhere" has attracted more covers until the recent 2017 version by Paramore came to life in their concerts.
It has been viewed over 4 million times on YouTube and contributed to the album’s sale of 5 million copies.
Buckingham’s decision to quit the group was met with anger and arguments especially with Nick who also left the group.
That was the beginning of the group’s break-up and reunion system that saw members leaving and then returning.
Together, the members have shared spotlight, survived public speculations, and journeyed throughout their career with many ups and downs.
Their new 2017 album took root when Christine reunited with the band in 2014. So far, it has critics refer to it as a masterpiece.
